Dairy-Free Hazelnut Hot Chocolate

Name a better combination than hazelnut + chocolate… still waiting! This dairy-free hazelnut hot chocolate (or hazelnut iced chocolate) is sure to satisfy.

I love chocolate hazelnut butter served with apples, spread on toast, or just straight off the spoon! So when I took my first sip of this hazelnut hot chocolate, I fell in love with chocolate hazelnut butter all over again, and you will too!

This dairy-free iced hazelnut hot chocolate is pure chocolatey goodness! The milky, creamy texture and sweet hazelnut flavor are heavenly. You can even serve it over ice on those hot summer days.

So what are you waiting for? This hazelnut hot chocolate is simple to make, and no one will notice it is dairy-free, gluten-free, and refined-sugar-free. The secret ingredient? JEM Organics chocolate hazelnut butter.

Ingredients You Will Love!

Non-dairy milk: It is a great alternative to cow’s milk for those who are allergic or avoid it for health or moral reasons. Most grocery stores offer non-dairy milk options, including almond milk, hazelnut milk, coconut milk, soy milk, rice milk, oat milk, and hemp milk. My go-to non-dairy milk is almond and soy milk. However, hazelnut milk also tastes very good in this recipe.

Chocolate hazelnut butter: JEM Organics is redefining chocolate hazelnut butter with sprouted, stone-ground hazelnuts and wholesome, vegan ingredients. Not only is it super creamy and extremely delicious, but it is also crafted in a peanut-free facility! More reasons why I love JEM Organic chocolate hazelnut butter:

  • organic

  • sprouted/ activated nuts

  • stone ground

  • gluten & dairy-free

  • no additives or preservatives

  • no palm oil or soy

  • low sodium

This blend of sprouted hazelnuts, coconut sugar, cacao nibs, cacao butter, and vanilla is like no other. It’s sweet notes, rich chocolate, and roasted hazelnuts pair that well to create a luscious, creamy spread. It is delicious on its own or in sweet treats — like this delicious dairy-free hazelnut hot chocolate. Let’s get to the recipe!

The Method

Step 1: Hot or Cold?

Choose whether you would like a chilled iced chocolate latte or a cozy mug of chocolate. Both options are effortless; start by adding a cup of hot/ cold non-dairy milk to a blender. I find that small blending cups work best. If you only have a large blender, double or triple the recipe.

Step 2: Make It Chocolatey!

Next, add 1 tablespoon of JEM Organics chocolate hazelnut butter and blend until smooth. Pour into your favorite glass or mug and top with marshmallows and non-dairy whipped cream.
